Concept development and designing, creation, production, planning and implementation of site design, art decorations, installations, seated areas etc. at music festival Way Out West, Gothenburg, Sweden. Managing a group of approx 50ppl (employees and volunteers). In 2017 also responsible for overall visual on site including environmental lighting and signage. Location: Slottsskogen + 5-10 venues and clubs around the city. I’ve gotten the opportunity to explore my interest for geometric shapes here, my fascination for the temporary world we stage in the park. The creation of an illusion. The playfulness and interaction. The balance between nature and artificial art elements. Scale and fairytale feel. The thrill of preparing, setting the scene. The seconds right before opening the festival gates, and see the guests spread over the site, take over, as the festival come to life again. Below, a selection of the design and process.
